McKenzie Sedore
McKenzie Sedore is a research assistant at Florida State University’s Complementary Health Innovation Lab (CHIL), where she supports clinical trials investigating the effects of mindfulness-based interventions on pain, stress, and psychological well-being. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology, magna cum laude with Honors in Psychology, from Florida State University, completing an undergraduate thesis on co-rumination and coping in the context of discrimination. Her research interests center on the intersection of emotion regulation and interpersonal processes, particularly among marginalized populations. At CHIL, McKenzie contributes to participant recruitment, protocol implementation, behavioral assessment, and quantitative data analysis. She plans to pursue a Ph.D. in social psychology with a focus on intimate relationships, studying relational distress, resilience, and health, with the goal of informing interventions that support co-regulation and emotional well-being within close relationships.
