Ethan MacDougall is a recent graduate from Florida State University and obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. Having joined the Brain Science and Symptom Management Center in June 2025, MacDougall is excited to begin his professional journey in the research field, working with participants, and gaining important knowledge needed as an RA. During his undergraduate years, Ethan engaged in many community activities provided at Florida State University. Working as an undergraduate researcher in the Anxiety and Behavioral Health clinic and Contextual & Automatic Relationships Laboratory, he picked up many valuable skills needed to succeed in a research setting. With a passion for helping and guiding others, MacDougall was the Treasurer and Social Events Chair of the Psi Chi International Honor Society chapter at Florida State University. Gaining that leadership experience provided Ethan with fulfillment that he was able to guide younger undergraduate students which he was in their place only a couple of years before. MacDougall was also involved as a member of Realizing Everyone’s Need for Emotional Wellness or RENEW. In RENEW, Ethan was able to provide fellow students with peer-to-peer support, knowledge, and understanding of various life skills. Alongside this, RENEW provides informational sessions, tabling events with the Counseling and Psychological Services, and collaborations with fellow psychology clubs and organizations on campus.
